Comprehensive Literacy Assessment Services

About Our Assessment Services

The Texas A&M University Center for Advanced Literacy Studies has partnered with the Counseling and Assessment Clinic (CAC) in the Department of Educational Psychology to provide comprehensive literacy assessments in English for children, adolescents, and adults.

These assessments address all areas of literacy development and offer parents valuable information about their child’s specific strengths and areas for growth. After the assessment, the CAC provides a detailed report that includes assessment results and professional recommendations regarding any diagnostic considerations. This report can be shared with your child’s school or with the Center for Advanced Literacy Studies upon request.

Through this partnership, our primary goal is to best support families by providing a thorough literacy profile for each child.

Many parents inquire about tutoring options after educational testing. Following an assessment at the CAC, you may enroll your child in the evidence-based tutoring programs offered by the Center for Advanced Literacy Studies during the fall and spring semesters. If you are interested in enrolling your child in one of our programs, please see the Evidence-Based Tutoring tab at the top of the page.
